Really, I can't believe that the rug hooking blogisphere hasn't been humming all week.....because I thought that Bev Conway's "Secret Message Project" was Genius! Of all of the wonderful things that I saw at Hooked in the Mountains, it's the only on that will really stay with me for....well, forever.
I was fascinated from my very first glance, and trying to figure it all out on my own. Looked with my hands and discovered that the message loops were hooked a lot lower than the rest of the rug, and in a finer cut. Later, I happened upon the explanation - in Bev's own words....

I love Bev conway's work I took a class from her a few years ago and loved it. I do like the new way to leave messages in our work.

It sounds like a wonderful technique. I would love to see one up close, in person. Its a bit hard to appreciate it from a photo.
